SHABBAT LIMMUD this SATURDAY on PARSHAT VAYISHLAH

Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, November 25

This Shabbat we gather, via Zoom, for song, prayer, reflection and study, led by Rabbi Liz. This week’s parshah, Vayishlah, relates two episodes - one with Jacob’s daughter Dinah, the other with one of his wives, Bilhah – that appear to depict non-consensual sexual encounters. Together, we’ll examine these stories and through our study honour the power of women and people of all genders to say “no means no,” and to uphold efforts to end gender-based violence.
