Come celebrate Hanukkah with Or Haneshamah! This event is open to the wider community, so feel free to invite family and friends who would like to know more about OrH. Each household should bring a menorah and candles.

Throughout the celebration we'll have activities for children, including dreidel spinning, colouring and stories.

A highlight of the evening is the Annual OrH Latke Competition with prizes, so get your latkes ON! If you’d like to enter, set aside at least three latkes in a heatable container for our judges to evaluate, and be sure to identify them with your name and the word “contest”.

For the latkes and any other potluck contributions, please list all ingredients and let kitchen staff know whether your dish should be served hot or cold. No need to contribute apple sauce or sour cream - Or Haneshamah will provide those.

Set up: 4 pm (come early to help decorate) 
Start: 5 pm children’s Chanukah craft activities, dreidel playing and story reading
5:30 pm – Dancing led by Phil Kretzmar
6:15 pm – Pot Luck Dinner 
7:00 pm – Candlelighting and Singing (singing led by Jacki Langsner)
                 ** Bring your own menorah and candles
7:30 pm – More of everything – singing, crafts, storytelling, schmoozing
