Mindfulness Shabbat with Rabbi Sheila Peltz Weinberg. Founding teacher with the Institute of Jewish Spirituality, author, mindfulness and yoga teacher and the SPW responsible for many “under the line” passages in our prayerbook, Rabbi Weinberg will offer movement-based prayers, guided meditations, and a devar torah for Shabbat Toldot.

We encourage those who do not have a copy of our prayer book, Kol Haneshamah Shabbat Vehagim, to download a PDF of the Shabbat portions of the prayerbook (below). As we become more comfortable meeting via Zoom, we learn that it is important and meaningful for us to see each other as comfortably as possible on the screen.

During the service, we also encourage folks to use the “chat” function, whether in response to an invitation from the leader, or a reflection that arise for you from the prayers, songs, or teaching. We have always been a community that values the prayer leader’s platform, or “bimah” not as a “high place” (its literal meaning) but as a shared space.
