Shabbat Morning and Picnic Kiddish
Saturday, 15 July, 2023 • 26 Tammuz 5783
10:00 AM - 12:00 PMFellowship HallSummertime, and the living is … hot. In the Jewish year cycle, we’re in the midst of the “three weeks” commemorating historic destruction and conflict. Even the readings from the prophets assigned to the torah readings convey the mood – they’re called haftarahs of admonition.
Yet on Shabbat we are always invited to lift our spirits, so we’ll sing our hearts out, and dive deep with an extended time of study and reflection, followed by a yummy potluck. Weather permitting, we can picnic on the patio.
