Pride Shabbat

Come out to Pride Shabbat on Ottawa Pride Weekend! Join Rabbi Liz and special musical guests for a lively outdoor, song-filled Shabbat celebration, followed by a picnic. Bring your yummy things, lawn chairs or blankets, and a friend or two! Let folks know that ORH is a place where Love is Love, and all genders and gender expressions are welcome.

THEN COME MARCH WITH THE ORH BANNER at SUNDAY’s PRIDE PARADE!

Marching Groups 

● Your group’s Team Leader will check in at the Marching Group Tent on Kent Street just north of Gladstone Street and you will be assigned a staging area along Kent Street. 

Our group's Staging Area Code: 4A-97 (We are marching close to the Unitarians.)

Our group will stage on Block 4: Between James and Florence on Kent Street The parade route starts from Kent and Somerset this year.

Our call (arrival) time is between 11:30 and 12:30

The Parade will be broadcast live on Rogers TV and streamed online on YouTube and RogersTV.com. We encourage all groups to be extra energetic to show our pride! 

Accessibility 

·       ●  The parade has accessible viewing at Bank Street and Laurier Street. 

·       ●  Portable washrooms that are wheelchair accessible will be located at Bank and Gladstone and at Bank and Laurier, as well as throughout the street festival. 

·       ●  Additional information on accessibility will be sent out closer to the event. Questions can be directed to accessibility@ottawacapitalpride.ca 

Restrooms 

● Portable restrooms will be stationed one block east of the staging area (within the Street Festival). 

First-Aid 

·       Two first aid stations will be set up within the Street Festival: at Bank Street & Slater Street and Bank Street & Somerset Street.  In addition, volunteers trained with First Aid and the use of Naloxone will be available throughout the site.
