Wednesday, 26 January, 2022 • 24 Shevat 5782
8:00 PM - 9:30 PMZoomJoin us on January 26 at 8:00 p.m. EST, 7:00 p.m. CST, and 5:00 p.m. PST for the second session in our series. Student rabbis, Sarah Brammer-Shlay, Solomon Hoffman, and Rachel Kipnes, will discuss the May, 2021 public appeal signed by 92 rabbinical students from several liberal seminaries, including twelve students from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, who called on the Jewish community to acknowledge that “the current reality in Israel necessitates a spiritual crisis.” They wrote:“How many Palestinians must lose their homes, their schools, their lives for us to understand that…Israel’s choices come from a place of power and that Israel’s actions constitute an intentional removal of Palestinians?...We are the future leaders of the Jewish community…and we are full of tears.” Read the full text of the letter and join us for presentation and discussion.
