Following the success of our Shabbat Fall Fair in November, we’ll enjoy four Shabbat “mini-fairs” this coming year, each featuring a short and lively musically—driven Shabbat service, and the choice of two activities, one contemplative or experiential, and the other text- and discussion-oriented, led by OrH members.

At our Shabbat Winter Mini-Fair on January 6 Rabbi Liz, along with guitar accompaniment, will lead Tefilat Shirah -- opening and closing segments of joyous song and prayer. This will be followed by two activities: Mindfulness Jeopardy, led by Joyce, and the Tzipporah Models, in which Rabbi Liz and OrH members Jackie and Halina lead an exploration and discussion of the biblical legacy and the contemporary experiences of women who, like Moshe’s wife Tzipporah, come from different religious and ethnic communities. Followed by pot-luck Kiddush lunch.
