Congregants of every age and stage are invited to a Chanukah Preparation Extravaganza hosted by Machaneh Shabbat!

Three part fun:

1) Schmooze together:

Adults (or young people comfortable with mature themes who want): Come ready to discuss the Book of Maccabees (1 and 2 only). They can be found online here - make sure to use the NRSV version.

Young people: Choose ANY book related to Chanukah to read (or be read to) and come ready to share about a favourite part. Fiction or non-fiction. Reader's choice! Bring the book to show everyone if you can!

2) Create together: 

Create a real and beautiful Chanukiah for your household! Bring it to the OrH Chanukah party on December 12th to celebrate! 

3) Eat together: 

Join together for Kiddush and potluck vegetarian lunch - ready-to-serve items only.
