The genesis of an art piece can be a long and convoluted process. I will be talking about my art practice,  specifically the wall work I have done in the last few years. I will concentrate on a piece which I have recently finished. It commemorates my mother and her holocaust experience using her words verbatum. There were a lot of moving parts, and difficulties in the journey to the finish line. In the end, it brings together my life experience, having lived in Asia, and my family history. The result has been a ceramic-centred, text-based, very personal piece. I am hoping to share this journey with you.
