Before the Spanish Inquisition, Spain had one of the largest and most prosperous Jewish populations in history. Little now remains of the once-thriving Medieval Jewish quarters, although significant efforts have been made recently to preserve what’s left. In the summer of 2017, OrH member Bronwyn Steinberg visited the historic, hidden-in-plain-sight Jewish barrios of Barcelona and Segovia, Spain. In this JED talk, Bronwyn will share photos and stories from her journey.
