7:30 PM - 10:30 PMFellowship Hall of Unitarians

A chance encounter reunites two former friends, but a huge gulf separates their lives and their world views. Faith and doubt, God and morality, and the ways loss and pain mark our lives – all explored on a mountain in Montreal on Rosh Hashanah.

The Quarrel (1991) based on a short story by Chaim Grade, screenplay by David Brandes (a former CBC reporter in Ottawa) and Joseph Telushkin, provides rich nourishment for our own questions, reflections and preparations for the Days of Awe.

During our Selihot service, and at each service throughout the High Holy Days, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect and consider your intentions for this sacred time, and for the year ahead, with our very own Teshuvah Guide. Look for the basket.

Bring a dessert to share.
