Organ donation can save many lives, but there is a critical shortage of donors. In Sept 2015 OrH member Laura Doliner donated a kidney on behalf of her husband, who has an inherited kidney disorder. In this talk, Laura will present the current situation regarding the need for donor organs, and describe her experience as a living donor.

Laura Doliner has been a member of ORH for more than 10 years and helps organize and lead the Jewish Mindfulness Meditation group. She is a biologist by education, a retired public service policy analyst, an English editor, a singer, and a lover of nature and of diversity.
